다섯 가구가 모여 살아가는 집은 세월의 흐름 속에서도 동네의 고유한 분위기를 간직하고 있었습니다. 가구와 가구를 잇고, 집과 동네를 자연스럽게 이어주는 '계단'과 '진입부의 경험'을 고민하였습니다. 

The house, home to five households, has retained the unique character of the neighbourhood through the passage of time. We reflected deeply on the staircase and the experience of the entrance, which weave the households together and seamlessly bridge the home with the surrounding community. 

담장 위에 살포시 얹힌 처마를 생각했습니다. 시공 과정에서 기존 담과의 관계를 고민하면서 높이가 다른 두 개의 처마가 겹쳐지는 겹처마 방식으로 변경되었습니다. 이 다채로운 레이어는 진입부를 한층 깊이 있게 강조합니다.

진입부에는 처마와 더불어 계단 바깥으로 빼꼼히 고개를 내민 손스침이 방문객을 반갑게 맞이하며, 목재와 금속의 우편함이 입구에 자리하여 소박하면서도 다정한 인상을 더합니다.

The initial concept featured eaves gently placed upon the wall. In addressing the relationship with the existing wall during construction, this was updated to a double-eave design, overlapping two eaves at different heights. This dynamic layering significantly enhances the depth of the approach.

At the entrance, along with the eaves, a handrail subtly extending beyond the stairs greets visitors, complemented by a timber and metal letterbox that adds a charming, welcoming touch.
